ESL - English as a Second Language

ESL at ORT Technical Institute: ORT is well known for its intensive ESL program that is among the best in the US. Our immersion ESL training is 4 or 5 days per week so you can quickly learn the language while sharing the experience with expert, understanding instructors and students from all over the world. Class size is limited to 30 students.

The program is divided into 6 levels to help you learn what you need to keep progressing. After taking an oral and written placement test, you will be assigned class at a level consistent with your language skills. Students learn survival English, workplace English, academic English and business writing and communications: all the basic language skills needed to enter the job market. Applicants must be high school graduates or equivalent.
