MOU Signed To Enhance Education and Training for Korean People

ORT Technical Institute in Skokie signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Korean American Chamber of Commerce, Midwest USA (KACCMUSA) in Chicago to enhance the technical skills and knowledge necessary for employment and career advancement for new Americans from the Korean community in providing education and training by ORT.

The signing of the MOU was attended by Dr. Ephraim Buhks, Director of U.S. ORT Operations, Ms. Marina Chudnovsky, Director of ORT Technical Institute, Ms. Lisa Burnstein, Associate Director at ORT, Mr. Byung Sik Chung, President of KACCMUSA, Kyesong Lee, Director of Boards at KACCMUSA, and Chan Jo Cho, President of Chicago Korea Chamber of Commerce.

Upon the signing of the agreement, both Ms. Marina Chudnosky and Mr. Byung Sik Chung offered congratulatory remarks on providing a basic framework for two organizations to build greater dialogue and collaboration.

“Today’s signing of the MOU between two organizations marks a significant step because the MOU sets out a comprehensive framework for industrial and educational cooperation,” said Byung Sik Chung, President of KACCMUSA. “The MOU will be extended to South Korean government to send their students to provide them more educational and job opportunities by ORT.”

“ORT is a technical vocational school dedicated to providing quality educational opportunities, career preparation, English as a Second Language (ESL), Healthcare, computer programs and accounting program, and externship program to train them to be professionals in their fields, said Marina Chudnovsky, Director of ORT Technical Institutes in Chicago. “I truly believe that our technical training will open up new employment opportunities for Korean students in the global marketplace.”
